Hello friends and family!
Next week, (on April 22) my school is holding its annual "Family Reading Night" where we will be teaching parents how to practice reading strategies at home with their children. My school has a 95% bilingual population and a population just as high of families living in poverty. This year, to help increase the attendance at our night, we will be serving dinner. The problem is that we have been asking stores and restaurants to donate chili for the dinner and we do not have enough. Here's how you can help (if you choose!).....
If you can donate chili (canned or homemade), can you please let me know? I am happy to pick it up. If you would like to help, but are far from me, you can also make a donation to my PayPal account and I will purchase the chili locally. My paypal username is email@example.com
If you would like a donation confirmation for your taxes, I can also provide that for you. Thank you so much for your help! We appreciate it.

A friend from my school saw my teacher name frame and wanted to create her own. She came over this week while we were on Spring Break and we made name frames for her, her son's teacher and her student teacher. It was a great time!
